| Lost Dog!!! Please help us find Gunner Click here for a flyer with Gunners picture Back to home page In case you have not heard through other venues, we are looking for a lost field bred English Springer Spaniel. He was lost on Interstate Hwy 80 during a car accident on Friday, March 25 @ 9:30PM. It happened in Utah on the salt flats about 30 miles East of Wendover, Nevada which is right on the state line. The truck was traveling West bound back to California. He was one of six dogs traveling in a dog trailer on the way home from a field trial in Utah. Despite the fact the trailer rolled at least three times and split apart, the other five dogs plus two in crates in the back of the truck are all fine and accounted for. Based on dog footprints we have reason to believe that he was picked up by a Good Samaritan. We also think the person(s) were traveling West, but it is always possible they have since headed East. At this point he could be anywhere, so we're asking everyone we can find to please post a flyer at your vet's office, truck stops, rest stops, shelters and other bulletin board in your area. If you accept this misson to help us find him, we suggest that you not search for an English Springer Spaniel. Individuals that are not familiar with field bred springers would assume he is of another breed. He is totally white with the exception of one liver spot near his tail and his head is marked with traditional liver/white springer markings. His ears are cropped shot and he has a 2/3 tail. His name is Gunner and he responds to whistle commands with a hunting whistle as well as voice commands (as a field bred dog his sit command is "hup"). He was not wearing a collar but he is micro chipped. If you have access to other dog lists or lists of any kind, I'm thanking you in advance for posting this message. There is a $2,500 reward offered for his safe return. If you contact me privately I will send you a flyer, complete with photo to post. In addition to the names listed on the flyer, if you have any leads, please do not hesitate to contact me at this e-mail address or: Sprngr3@aol.com Or call me at 510-223-3533 at home or 510-307-2403 at work. I'm sure that each one of you can understand the emotions that Keith Hacker, the owner of this dog is going through right now. He doesn't own multiple dogs (until a few months ago when he acquired a new puppy to raise with Gunner this was his only dog). To me, it's hard enough to lose a dog to old age, but to lose one that has just started a very successful career is twice as hard. On behalf of Keith, I thank you for your assistance.
