Thank you to Bob Montler for letting us post to the website from his home. We would lose hours going back and forth to the hotel. Thank you Bob!!! Thank you to all the marshalls helping us get the callbacks to share on the website. Thursday, November 16, 3:30 The water finished about 2:15. No dogs failed The placements will be at 4:30. We will try to update placements live, if possible. 1:00 pm We finished the fifth series about noon. It is warm (60 degrees) and raining/drizzling all morning. The fifth series field is back near the first series field with similar cover. Thigh to waist high native grasses. The wind has finally picked up and gusts at times. Scenting is poor to average, in my humble opinion. Wednesday, November 15, 7:15 EST 22 dogs called back to the fifth series!!! 7:00 EST We finished the fourth series at 4:00 today. Each dog got three contacts. As in the last three series some of these retrieves were monsters! The sun came out and it got up to about 60 before the clouds rolled back in (yea! from the dogs) and eventually it drizzled off and on. Call back for the fifth will be posted as soon as we get them tonight. We will see if we can post the placements as they are announced tomorrow. Thanks for checking in. Mary and Nadine from Altoona Pennsylvannia. Wednesday, November 15, 10:30 am We finished the third series about 9:30 and the fourth series callbacks were announced about 10:15. 43 back to the fourth. It was in the mid 40's this morning and cloudy. Now the sun is out and it is in the mid 50's. There is virtually no wind at this point. I am unable to get milk weed fluff to do more than drift to the ground Tuesday, November 14, 7:00 pm The sun actually came out for a little while today. The first time we have seen the sun during the whole trial. We stopped when it got dark. The last dog to run in the third series was number 109. We will start with number 110 at 7:30 tomorrow morning (again). Tuesday, November 14, 12:30 pm The third series just began at 12:20 pm on a new field. The second series ended at 11:10 am. It is still cool, gray and cloudy but it is the brightest of the last three days with the temps in high 40's The scenting is better today than it was yesterday but the winds are still light and variable. 73 dogs back to the third series Monday, November 13, 6:00 pm The last dog to run Paul was number 110, and number 91 under Tom. We quit when it got dark, about 4:45 Light rain, drizzle on and off throughout the afternoon. Scenting was difficult throughout the day and worse in the afternoon Monday, November 13, 1:00 pm TheThe first series was completed at 10:10 and we went rigtht into the second sieries. The weather is still cloudy and with off and on light rain. Mid 40's for the temps. The final callbacks for the second were just given to us and are posted below. Sunday, November 12, 6:00 pm We finished with dog 116 about 4:45 (EST) due to loss of light. Dog number 139 has also been scratched More after the banquet and pictures hopefully 1:00 pm - Dog numbers 64 and 65 were called to the line at 1:00 There are five scratches that we know of so far: 1 6 23 46 and 75 The first and second series grounds are the same as last year's National Amateur first and second series grounds. It is an oblong horseshoe shaped course of 60 flags. The wind is mostly crossing up and down but unsettled. The temps are in the 40's. It is overcast and luckily it has not rained on us. The cover is thigh to waist high native grasses. Scenting had dropped off some since this morning.
