My wife, Kathy, and I
purchased our first Field Bred English Springer Spaniel fourteen years
ago. The story is similar to many of you reading this. We
just wanted a good hunting dog! Since that time, we have trialed
and hunted several good springers. I have owned pointing dog
breeds, but Spaniels are still my preference for the various types of
shooting I do. Whether it is non-slip retrieving while on a dove
hunt, tracking rooster pheasants in the uplands, or retrieving ducks
from a blind, Field Bred English Springer Spaniels are the best all
around gun dog there is!
Kathy and I have been married eighteen years. We have a wonderful four year old son named Conor. Together we live in a rural area near Colorado Springs, Colorado. We also own a farm on the South Platte river in Nebraska, where we spend most of our free time hunting and training our crew of springers. Thank you for the confidence you have placed in me. I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to judge this years National Amateur with Mr. Roy Hopkins. I have always had great respect for Roy and I am looking forward to sharing his vast knowledge of our breed. I can appreciate the work, anticipation, and excitement that one has when preparing for and then arriving at a National with a dog that you believe can win it all! This is truly a great sport! Good Luck! Tim
