You’ve qualified for the 2005 Amateur National!

The 2005 Amateur National will be held November 15 until conclusion at the beautiful Hillendale Hunt Club (Road 1, Box 390, Tyrone, PA) and surrounding lands located in historic Sinking Valley in Central Pennsylvania.  The Eastern Inter Club and Mid-Penn ESSC is thrilled to be your host and is looking forward to welcoming each and every one of you to Pennsylvania!

Headquarters for the trial will be the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in Altoona, Pennsylvania. This facility features a full service restaurant & lounge, banquet rooms and an indoor heated pool with jacuzzi and wading pool. A banquet will be arranged and fabulous cocktail parties will be served. Dinner will consist of New York Strip Steak or Stuffed Chicken Breast. If you have a special food request, please contact us in advance at 800-222-1779 so we can make the appropriate arrangements for you. Breakfast and lunch will also be served in the field daily by our chef. We have arranged for pets to be allowed in the room for this event. A deposit may be required. Rooms are $78.00 + tax. (suites are available.)  To make a reservation, call 1-800-2-RAMADA or 814-946-1631 and be absolutely sure to mention you are a part of the National English Springer Spaniel Group.

All of our committee chairs and members are working diligently to prepare for this years fabulous event.  Our grounds are 20 minutes from the Headquarter Hotel and consist of over 400 acres of rolling fields managed especially as game bird cover. Training will be held on November 14, 2005 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the trial grounds and pheasants will be available.

Our judges this year will be Mark Haglin of Brainerd, Minnesota and John Wright of Bozeman Montana.
