...from Marshall "Jim" Lightfoot to all
delegates and clubs...
2004
NAC RUMOR(s)
It is heard about through the
grapevine that several
issues might be brought up for discussion and possible
change at this, years
National Amateur Championship (NAC) delegates meeting on Monday,
December 6,
2004.
Make sure you and your club delegate know what your club wants to do,
regarding these issues.
# 1. The same old issue of the,
“QUALIFICATION FOR
DOGS”. There will be a push again
to change WHAT HAS BEEN STANDARD FOR YEARS. I
believe, from what I hear that
the one(s) pushing this agenda have several
votes so, if you don’t want change, get your
VOTES LINED UP.
#2. I understand there will be a push to
change the
qualifications for NAC JUDGE(s).
Where one MUST BE RUNNING DOGS IN LICENSED OR
MEMBER FIELD TRIALS.
Running in at least four (4) trials, Open or Amateur in
the past couple of years. Not just
GUNNING, JUDGING, ETC, But RUNNING DOGS.
#3. The five, year experiment of moving the
NAC into
the various Inter clubs has come
to fruition. Is it time to go back to the OLD WAY, more to
the center of the country
most years, where most individuals can drive with
their dogs to the trial? THINK ABOUT IT.
